	 ︎I remember wondering where I might hear music composed with the atmosphere oƒ our night. Then, one evening, NIYABJA sent this gift — a timeless song, recorded at~with the night, in which she thanks the ancestors, singing to them that we have arrived~returned. In response, I sent her a visual meditation where cosmorganic bodies vibrate and shimmer — within, without, and all around us — as a way oƒ thanking her ƒor introducing me to Bèlè and its way oƒ life.

	Synopsis"Some people talked about her without ever having seen her". A poetic wandering where we follow the red silhouette topped with thorns oƒ&#38;nbsp;Manman Chadwon, a mythological female creature who, ƒrom her birth to her quest ƒor freedom, transform throughout the places she explores. Does it really exist or is it a mirage, a legend that those who thought they saw it perpetuate?

	︎Gwladys Gambie invited me to co-create her first film about Manman Chadwon. Contributing to such a precious and ambitious project was both a huge challenge and a true joy — to create freely, first with a team oƒ around ten people on set, then later in solitude, immersed in Gwladys’s universe, shaping sound and visual atmospheres that echo the many metamorphoses oƒ Manman Chadwon, whom she embodied with sublime depth.

Démayé means to unravel what is complicated, tangled and painful. The conversation about sexuality, pleasure, desire and eroticism is tied to its throat, even nowadays. This film is a sort oƒ "bendémaré": a ritual bath in Martinique. It is an invitation to rethink sexuality ƒrom a spiritual and mystical angle in order to remedy what causes the body and the soul to remain caught in situations they don't belong to.〜

	Synopsis
A woman is taking a “démayé” bath in her garden. She washes her underwear, her body, her soul. By cleaning her personal story, is she trying to mend the History she was born in. To unravel what is complicated, painful, stuck.&#38;nbsp;

	︎Simone Lagrand invited me to co-create a sound and visual poem with her. We recorded her voice at my place, and I composed a sound bath of wind, night, and conch shells to cradle her words. Laura De Souza crafted a timeless, luminous embroidered dress. And then we were three women — eating, talking, living, filming — in the Morneverse garden.

When Simone invited me to create with her and sent over her recorded poem, I already had a dub loop that had been waiting on my computer ƒor months. Her voice blended so harmoniously with the composition that, within a few days, Adlo Manman ° Letter to the Forgotten Grandmothers was born — a sound and visual poem woven ƒrom her spoken-sung words, her precious personal archives, and historical archives I gathered online, all digitally immersed in intimancestral waters shimmering with light and love.

Here lies the Kakarèl Kolonyal.
The one that keeps pouring out ƒrom the tops oƒ towers~plantations, through our screens~billboards, along roads, sidewalks, and canals, ƒrom rivers to the sea, everywhere, into our homes, into us, directly into our bellies~carts, our veins, nerves, umbilical cords, into our waters, ƒrom which thoughts may rise.


	The photograph above was one oƒ the starting points ƒor this installation. I captured this scene during a photographic walk in Terres Sainville, the town where I lived while studying visual arts. As I walked along the canal, I encountered this hybrid structure — organic, metallic, and plastic — emerging ƒrom the undulating, stagnant water. Struck by its resonance with the state oƒ the colonized world, I photographed it and later exhibited it ƒor the first time within KK, during the group exhibition (Re)penser, curated by SeizeMètresCarrés in 2020 — a show contextually dedicated to confined worlds.
	KK {Kakarèl Kolonyal} is an immersive installation that explores the abusive and criminal psychic impacts caused by audiovisual pollution and manipulation — targeting our souls, bodies, and lands through advertising that fosters and sustains consumerist addiction, further intensified by confinement. Kakarèl means both diarrhea and fear — two meanings that aptly evoke the dripping, paralyzing spread oƒ the colonial continuum ~ contamination. So, how can we (re)think within a space-time polluted and saturated by the ongoing diffusion~infusion oƒ capitalist colonial imagery?

As night falls, in the corner oƒ a room lit by red cemetery candles, a screen oƒ cloudy, torn thoughts — connected to a cluster oƒ intertwined lianas and roots, piled on an overturned golden shopping cart overflowing with detritus and masks — loops excerpts ƒrom 20th-century colonial advertisements, bathed in a magmatic soundscape suggesting troubled digestion.

On the final night oƒ the four-day exhibition, a masked creature — chained to the shopping cart and facing the 'screen' — frantically nibbled small pieces oƒ paper ƒrom a long, seemingly endless bag oƒ crisps made ƒrom a golden survival blanket. These paper crisps were torn ƒrom a strange booklet titled "Little Blue Book... Open — What if we decided to see Martinique's future in blue?"

 As part oƒ the third edition oƒ La Manufacture* during the 48th Fort-de-France Festival, I was invited to create an installation within La Rotonde&#38;nbsp;— once the operating room of the military hospital, today part of the Aimé Césaire Cultural Park. In resonance with the theme oƒ&#38;nbsp;cenesthesia**, I chose to explore the deep, visceral, intimate, and collective sensation oƒ ongoing confusion and sideration in a post-traumatic context, through O {Opération à Nannan Ouvert / Open Nannan*** Surgery}.

By what~whom, how and why are we linked? Do these links vivify or petrify us?


	Bathed in deep blue light, O invites us to move within~around a cosmic aquatic sky in motion, projected onto the ground. Nestled in its hollow lies a bleached brain coral — torn ƒrom its environment, lifeless — crowned with sacred, shimmering crests. Above this stranded sky, emerging ƒrom an unknown source, a sprawling proliferation oƒ suspended links — lianas intertwined willingly or by force — seems to reach toward the center-ground, while an invisible creature with a conch-like voice occasionally moans.
 
	
In an upside-down world, suspended between aporetic oblivion and looping memories, I wanted to explore the anatomy oƒ our relations with:in ourselves and our surroundings, in an alienated~alienating world. 
Immersed in a blurred and diffused sensation oƒ blue, cold, abysmal sideration, our cosmorganic connection gradually tangles and frays,&#38;nbsp;as the nest~knot — where a lingering grief lies, both buried and risen, still unresolved — deepens.

** Coenesthesia: the immediate feeling oƒ existence, the aggregate oƒ impressions arising ƒrom organic sensations that forms the basis oƒ one's awareness oƒ body or bodily state, as the feeling oƒ health, vigor or lethargy.

O — like infinite cycles and passages, the matrix, the mystery oƒ origins, the cosmos, echoes oƒ cells and gravitational waves. From the intimate microcosm to the universal macrocosm, I explore the notions oƒ memory, origin~passage and anchoring through water, black ink (Indian ink), and tree ash (charcoal), as well as through the sculpture oƒ the original circle, which — through its spiraling vibratory expansion in space-time — generates these mysterious tubular forms: roots, veins, hair, umbilical cords, nerves, neurons: intertwined.〜

From the deepest to the most distant parts oƒ our bodies~beings, the invisible tangle oƒ worlds that constitute and encompass us has been my main source oƒ inspiration ƒor this series. More specifically, these drawings emerged ƒrom my research on the nervous system, its impact on our organs, the links between the stomach and the brain — particularly the microbiota — and ƒrom conversations with a dear friend who first introduced me to quantum physics, a subject she had explored during her biology studies.
