Here is Menstrueuse. She was born in 2020 ƒrom recycled red remnants oƒ past carnivals, ƒrom burning sap and blood, ƒrom poisoned fertile dreams. Horns and mirrors and a few strands oƒ hair burst ƒrom her skull, enthroning her as a magma-red-dyablès. Each mardi gras, spinal-column cane in hand, she roams, howls, and dances menstruously.
